Art Exhibition In Alexandria That Narrates The City

It is not so common to go to a modern art exhibition in Egypt. Events like that are rare. A few days ago I had the chance to attend the art exhibition named as "Malaz" at the "Shelter Art Space" that is an art platform to promote the artistic scene in Alexandria. Τhe visual artists participating in the exhibition claim that "it is based on the observations of the city as if you’re flying above it and could only see it from a far away angle, thus narrating the city". The exhibition curator Mrs Chaymaa Ramzy welcomed the guests in her unique warm way.

The Ammon Oracle Equinox Window Alignment

Visitors of the Ammon Oracle watch a unique phenomenon named as the "Spring Equinox Solar Double-Window Alignment". The solar rays align among the external and the internal window illuminating in the middle of the inner sanctum where it is believed it was standing the statue of the Amun Ra.

A Bedouin Camp in the middle of the Siwa Sahara Desert

The new desert camp named "Al Nihaya" opened in the middle of the Sahara in the location "Loboq" in Siwa Oasis. "Al Nihaya" is translated in English: "The End", probably pointing out the remote and exotic location.

Pharaohs' Golden Parade

I collected in a short video, the most emotional images from last night's wonderful ceremony the Pharaohs' Golden Parade. Thousands of Congratulations to Egypt! It was so beautiful and so good to see that some nations still cherish and respect their past and history. I want to thank you all Egyptians for giving the whole world such unique emotions!

Siyaha Peace Festival of Siwa Oasis photo album

A must see in Siwa Oasis is the annual "Siyaha" Festival every October. It is the most important event that will help the visitor understand the local culture.
For three days around October's full moon, Mount Dakrur is the scene of the Siyaha festival which is called Asihaite in the local Berber language. Thousands of Siwans gather to celebrate the date harvest, renewing friendships and settling any quarrels that broke out over the previous year. During the festival all Siwans, no matter what their financial or social standing, eat together at a huge feast after the noon prayer each day. The festival is intertwined with Sufism, and each evening, hundreds of men join together in a circle (zikr) of peace and forgiveness. Siwa Oasis, Western Desert, Egypt 17 October 2019.

As the dress code of Siwa rules women over 15 years old, to be veiled in public, it is understood that this costume is not allowed in public except for the young students.
